Buckle Up, Buttercup – A Winning Campaign

To be the winner for the Re:act campaign was an exciting opportunity that I’m very grateful for. Out of 8 students total, my design was chosen to be featured on billboards and lightboxes throughout Australia for the duration of September. I even got a photo with one!
What was this campaign about though? It’s a road safety campaign, promoting the safe and correct use of seatbelts. The message had to be positive, targeting 17-25-year-olds. I had to consider what captures attention, the background contrast, and how much people can process in a short time.
Throughout the term, I worked directly with the clients throughout zoom calls, presenting my concepts twice total. I received feedback straight from the clients and was able to successfully apply it to my designs. I built up confidence and gained experience working with real clients.

About Re:act. Re:act For Change is an organisation that works with students to create awareness regarding road safety for 17-25-year-olds. This campaign was for Australia 2025, and 9 TAFE’s and Universities across 9 metropolitan areas were chosen to participate, with one winner from each.

Multi-Paged Prints – Tailored For A Music Festival

The vision for this project at the beginning was something to doubt, a scrapbook style design with colours inspired by the 70’s? The combination seemed farfetched... but as you can see, it worked.

This design appeals to a broad audience, combining smooth ’70s vibes with a modern, scrapbook- and magazine-inspired twist. Colours drawn from the ’60s-’70s era replace bright, harsh tones, creating a visually pleasing and approachable aesthetic. The layout and style add a contemporary touch, engaging a younger audience while setting the mood for the festival.
The design was applied across two formats: a booklet and a roll-fold brochure. I organised the provided information into a clear grid layout, ensuring hierarchy, flow, and consistency throughout.

Cat Treats – An Eco-Friendly Packaging Design

I designed a packaging die line and illustration catered for a product of my choosing; cat treats. I wanted the cat treats to be safe for majority of cats, and the packaging to be safe for the environment.

I designed a packaging die line and illustration catered for a product of my choosing; cat treats. I wanted the cat treats to be safe for majority of cats, and the packaging to be safe for the environment.
Direct and accurate measurements were used to create an authentic die line within Adobe Illustrator that was fit for printing. An underwater themed illustration correlated to the single ingredient product, freeze dried carp, and achieved a visually appealing and shelf ready design.

My love for cats inspired this project as well as my desire for eco-friendly and sustainable designs. While this cat treat product already exists in various forms, the illustration itself is unique, appealing and remains relevant to the product and its audience.

Two Classics From Different Eras – Digital Illustrations

Though they tested my Illustrator skills, these illustrations were quite fun to create. It furthered my knowledge on light and its varying effects.

Though they tested my Illustrator skills, these illustrations were quite fun to create. It furthered my knowledge on light and its varying effects.
Two objects were chosen and digitally re-created in various styles: outline, silhouette, tonal dropout (aka chiaroscuro), flat-tone, and gradient. I focused on the light to determine where my colours would be placed and how they would present when next to each other. It enhanced my skills within Adobe Illustrator and taught me efficient ways to view light and colour placement.

I’m incredibly proud of these two designs, especially the gradient versions. They both look realistic and well detailed. While the record player is larger and has far more elements, the Xbox controller has light reflecting off the buttons and taint shadows that aren’t noticeable immediately unless you’re looking for them.

My Own Logo & Business Card – Personal Branding

The logo you see at the top of this page was designed by myself. It purposely reflects some of my personality which I believe is very important. It was definitely difficult to depict myself in a logo, but I enjoyed the process.

Upon learning about freelancing and running a personal business, we were required to design a logo for ourselves, as well as applying it to a business card. I went with a logo that had interesting shape within the text, and a colour that feels fun but also defined and professional. I included a character element, a dynamic cat, that provided the logo with enough of my personality without making it too playful.

My logo is easily transferable to various forms of content and sizing. The mostly square shape allows me to avoid awkward placements around corners and other elements. The logo can work with or without the background and the cat itself can be used as an individual element.
